Flanked by security, actor/heartthrob Taylor Lautner retreated to his trailer after filming a scene for his new movie, Tracers, in New York City.

Sources on the set say Lautner is dating his co-star Marie Avgeropoulos and is “really excited” about the new romance.

“She’s totally his type and he’s really excited about her,” the insider said.

Avergeropoulos is a native of Canada; her acting credits include guest appearances on shows like 90210 and Fringe.

“Taylor’s having a great time with Marie but I doubt it will last after they finish this movie,” the set source added. “My guess is this will be a fun summer fling for Taylor because his number one priority is his career. He is extremely driven and ambitious and wants to become the biggest action star in the world.”
