Even though he bears a striking resemblance to the original Freddie Mercury, Sacha Baron Cohen has decided to pull out of the Queen singer's biopic.

On Monday (July 22), news broke that the "Borat" actor had decided to no longer star in the flick due to conflicting creative differences with the remaining bandmembers and director.

According to reports, Sacha was looking to show a darker, edgier side of Mercury's past, but his bandmates (who have control of the script) wanted a more family-friendly version.

Original news of Cohen's casting was announced back in 2010, but as of right now the film has yet to be picked up for production.
