Stepping out for a social call, Katie Holmes showed up at Patsis restaurant in New York City for some delicious lunch yesterday afternoon (June 20).

Joined by a male friend, the “Teaching Mrs. Tingle” actress was in good spirits and wore a unique ensemble including a denim jacket and a navy printed dress as she held up her end of the discussion that was going on.

And now that she’s been single for a full year, Katie has enjoyed the lower profile she’s been able to maintain following her divorce from Tom Cruise.

An insider told press, "She is in her prime, and truly enjoying the life she is creating for herself." Katie has been working on her new film “Mania Days” in NYC as of late and focusing on being a great mom to her daughter Suri.
