Since Beyonce doesn’t want anyone other than people who attend her concerts to hear her new music performed live (yet, at least), the 2013 BET Awards had to settle for another “Q.U.E.E.N.” and her name is Janelle Monae.
Janelle Monae may not be a household name, but none of that mattered because homegirl can put on a show, and she did just that as she and Erykah Badu closed out this year’s BET Awards with a highly energetic performance of their single “Q.U.E.E.N.”
