Making the most of a sunny day, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi showed up in Seaside Heights, New Jersey this afternoon (May 24).

Joined by some of her “Jersey Shore” cohorts, the pint-sized reality star seemed to be in good spirits as she strolled around the boardwalk while shutterbugs looked on.

Snooki also had the opportunity to meet with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, with whom she’s had a complicated past.

During the event, Nicole looked uncomfortable and asked Chris why he was standing so close to her.

Polizzi declared “I just wanted to meet you, and just, hope you start to like us,” before parting ways with Christie. She later added to Jenni “JWoww” Farley, “He just doesn’t like us.”
