Miley Cyrus Slams Half-Naked Pop Stars, then Poses Half-Naked Herself

In a strange twist of “Have you looked in the mirror lately, girl?” news, Miley Cyrus announced that doesn’t think pop stars need to sexualize themselves to sell their music.

In a new interview with Elle UK, the former tween sensation criticized the women in music who often appear in a state of undress.

Nevermind the fact that she posed for Vanity Fair wearing nothing but a sheet at the age of 15, or straddled a striper pole while performing at the Teen Choice Awards in 2009, when she was just 16.

“A star is someone who doesn’t have to take her clothes off to be sexy because you naturally have star power. Sex does sell, but you have to find a way that’s not just showing your tits. I don’t want to be a glorified model. They just walk on stage and it’s all about their clothes – or lack of clothes,” Cyrus said.

Oddly enough, Cyrus had no problem shedding her clothes for a recent V Magazine shoot. We’re sure having your breasts and ass out constitutes someone who has taken her “clothes off.”

Not that a gal doesn’t have the right to freely express her sexuality but it’s a bit stupid to insult others that do while you’re pulling your pants down and showing off your glorious ass crack.

Just saying.
