Movie goers wanted action this weekend, as "Pain & Gain" looks to be muscling its way to the top of the box office for the weekend of April 26-28, 2013.
Fronted by Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg, the newcomer grabbed $7 million on Friday and is headed for a $19 million opening weekend.
Sliding into second was last week's number one, the Tom Cruise-fronted action adventure "Oblivion," which garnered $5.3 million on Friday and is gunning for a $17 million three day total.
Rounding out the top five in estimated earnings were the Jackie Robinson bio-pic "42" ($10 million) in third, the freshman comedy "The Big Wedding" ($8 million) in fourth, and Dreamworks Animation's "The Croods" ($6 million) in fifth.
