Shia LaBeouf Says Goodbye to the Broadway Stage

Citing creative differences with the producers, Shia LaBeouf announced on Wednesday (February 20) that he has pulled out of the Broadway show “Orphans.”

The “Transformers” hunk was supposed to play the role of Treat in the story about two brothers living in a Philadelphia row house.

“Due to creative differences, the producers of ‘Orphans’ and Shia LaBeouf will be parting ways and he will not be continuing with the production,” press representatives for the play said in a brief statement. “An announcement on the replacement for the role of ‘Treat’ will be made shortly.”

Directed by Daniel Sullivan and starring Alec Baldwin and Tom Sturridge the production is still on schedule to begin on March 19 with an opening night slated for April 7.
