He’s the much-beloved little green guy who delves out wisdom in the “Star Wars” franchise, and Yoda may be the subject of a forthcoming standalone feature film.

Now that Disney has purchased LucasFilm, they’re looking to expand on George Lucas’ success, and Ain’t It Cool News honcho Harry Knowles says they already know their first project.

Knowles wrote, “The first standalone film is going to center upon Yoda. At this stage specifics are sparse, but Kathleen Kennedy is putting together a Star Wars slate… I’m wildly curious for more details on the Yoda film- would this be a young or old Yoda tale?”

Ms. Kennedy is the new boss at LucasFilm and worked hard to secure JJ Abrams as the director of the much-anticipated “Star Wars: Episode VII.”
