He had a fabulous time at the 85th Academy Awards over the weekend, and Ben Affleck celebrated his big Best Picture win for “Argo” with a metamorphosis of sorts.

The “Good Will Hunting” hunk held a private dinner at Craig’s restaurant after the Oscars where his wife Jennifer Garner and buddy George Clooney convinced him to shave his beard.

An insider told press, "He did it himself at the restaurant. The whole family was tired of the beard! Jennifer actually brought the clippers to the party."

"Ben and Jen were there for a long time -- that's where he could really celebrate with the whole Argo crew. Ben was over the moon about the win and so happy,” added a pal.
