Being sure to take care of his health in the new year, Russell Brand picked up some vitamins on Wednesday (January 2) in West Hollywood.

The "Rock of Ages" actor dressed in layers as he and a mystery woman shopped at Great Earth Vitamins.

The outing comes as Brand faces a negligence lawsuit, in which he is accused of hitting a man with his car in January 2012.

Spokesmen for Russell claim the accident was "the result of the plaintiff's own negligence—and if he got hurt, it was the direct, proximate and sole result of his own physical bodily condition and constitutional composition," according to documents obtained by E! News.
