Natalie Portman and Kristen Stewart are Forbes’ Best Actors for the Buck

2012 was the year of the ladies at the box office, with the top two on Forbes list of Hollywood's Best Actors for the Buck being women.

"Black Swan" star Natalie Portman topped the list, returning $42.70 for every dollar a studio spends on her.

The main reason for her high position was the indie film ("Black Swan"), which grossed $329 million, making it one of Tinseltown's most profitable movies.

Close behind is "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart, who averages $40.60 for every dollar she earns. Though it's no surprise that the huge popularity of the "Twilight Saga" propelled her up front, her movie "Snow White and the Huntsman" also contributed to her value to studios.

After the two leading ladies, Shia LaBeouf, Robert Pattinson and Daniel Radcliffe rounded out the top five.
