He's brought laughter into movie theaters and homes around the globe for decades, but Rob Schneider now finds himself stepping out of the comedy realm and into the role of being a new father.

The former "Saturday Night Live" funnyman confirmed on Monday (November 19) that he and wife Patricia Azarcoya Arce are officially proud parents, as he tweeted, “Mommy and Baby [are] happy and healthy!”

As for the details on their bundle of joy, Rob and Patricia welcomed surely adorable Miranda Scarlett Schneider into the world on Friday (November 16) at 8:59PM.

Weighing 5 lbs., 13 oz. while measuring in at 18 inches, baby Miranda is 49-year-old Schneider and his lovely lady's first child - with the birth coming a year and a half after the couple tied the knot in April 2011.
