Beyonce Knowles flaunts her beauty and sexiness in her latest music video for "1+1". Unlike in her previous clips which usually feature elaborate settings, show-stopping costumes and backup dancers, the wife of rapper Jay-Z is seen in solitude in this new one.
Aimed to tell a love story at its best, the video is directed by Beyonce with the help from Laurent Briet and Ed Burke. It features experiments of psychedelic visual effects and innovative lighting that give a cinematic feel. She is tantalizingly pulling the straps of her dress at one point, and weeping a drop of tear at another.
"1+1" is lifted from Beyonce's latest studio album "4" which has been in stores since June this year. Written by The-Dream and produced by Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, the song is one of her favorite tracks from the album.
To continue promoting the album, Bey has secured several high-profile performances. The 29-year-old diva is set to take the stage at 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night, August 28. She is also scheduled to perform via satellite for the "Michael Forever" tribute concert on October 8.
