The on-off-on relationship of Pippa Middleton, sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, and Alex Loudon has been the talk of the tabloids.
Miss Middleton, party organiser and girl-about-town, appeared to be single again, or so it seemed, after she and Loudon had not been seen together for a number of weeks.

The rumour mill conjured up a list of suitors that included George Percy, son of the Duke of Northumberland and an old university friend, and even Prince Harry.

Of course, as we now know, Miss Middleton put the rumours to bed last week when she and Loudon took time out of their hectic schedules to spend the day at Wimbledon. But few knew the reason for Loudon’s absence from her arm.
Until now.

As a member of SABMiller’s in-house corporate finance team, Loudon was in Australia assisting on the brewer’s hostile AUD$9.5bn (£6.2bn) bid for Fosters.

“The team only flew back into London on Monday,” says my man at the beer pump. “No wonder the couple haven’t been seen together.” Case closed.
