A man who was looking into the Malibu beach house of celebrity Paris Hilton was arrested Monday on suspicion of violating a judge’s order to stay away from the hotel heiress, sheriff’s deputies reported.
James Rainford, 36, of Los Angeles, was taken into custody by deputies about 4:30 p.m. in the 21000 block of Pacific Coast Highway. He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
In January, Rainford pleaded no contest in a trespass case after he was arrested on charges of trying to contact Hilton at her home in the Hollywood Hills. He was sentenced to three years’ probation and ordered to stay 200 yards away from Hilton’s property.
Rainford also pleaded no contest in April to a misdemeanor battery charge related to an attack on a boyfriend of Hilton’s. He was sentenced to 227 days in jail, but was released early from custody.
