Lady Gaga website hacked

Hackers stole fan information from Lady Gaga’s official U.K. website, acquiring names and email addresses of her little monsters, the Toronto Sun reports.

“The hackers took a content database dump from www.ladygaga.co.uk and a section of email, first name and last name records were accessed. There were no passwords or financial information taken,” record company Universal said in a statement. “We take this very seriously and have put in place additional measures to protect personally identifiable information. All those affected have been advised.”

Universal has reached out to police to try and get to the bottom of the privacy breach.

According to Gather, SwagSec hacked into Lady Gaga’s website on June 27. The company has been targeting music artists’ sites as of late. It has been identified as infiltrating Amy Winehouse’s site less than a month ago.

An insider said, the “Born This Way” singer is “upset and hopes police get to the bottom of how this was allowed to happen.”
