She’s a ginger no more! Just one month after debuting her summery red hair, Katy Perry pulled another quick change, popping up on MTV News Thursday with newly blonde locks. And while her latest hair hue is a big deal — she’s had black hair for as long as we can remember — it’s not quite a surprise, considering the pop star is a natural blonde. She’d given us warning, too: a week before stepping out with her red locks, Perry Tweeted about an impending change. “tonight I dye my hair a different color… Can you guess which color?!” she teased to fans. However, she later hinted that something had gone wrong. “So I didn’t get to the exact color I wanted from being black for so long,” she wrote. “2get to goal I have 2b GINGER for 3WKS.” Later calling the process an “#epicfail,” she shared, “If I don’t wait 3wks, I’ll end up w/no hair or a #pixie90scutw/abarretteinthefront It’s okay, I’ll get to my secret color(s) soon! #patience.” Seems like it was worth the wait.
