The former ‘Sonny with a Chance’ star has been alleged hooking up with Reese Witherspoon’s ex-husband, but an insider insists that the actor is ‘totally single.’Demi Lovato has been rumored to be secretly dating Ryan Phillippe. E! News reported that the former “Sonny with a Chance” star and the ex-husband of Reese Witherspoon began to see each other casually, but it quickly heated up. A source close to the actor, however, claimed otherwise.

Debunking the hook-up speculations, the insider insisted that Ryan is currently “totally single.” Meanwhile, another insider told Us Weekly that Demi and the actor playing Louis Roulet in “The Lincoln Lawyer” were “just hooking up”. The source went on to add, “It was nothing serious.”

E! reported that Demi and Ryan got “really hot and heavy for a while”, but things were cooling down since the birth of his daughter with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp. It was noted that Demi wasn’t sure that Ryan, who is sixteen years older than her, was going to have a baby again “until it basically happened.” A source pointed out, “It kind of threw her for a loop.”

This is not the first time the “Skyscraper” singer is linked romantically to a much older man. Back in June, she reportedly split from Wilmer Valderrama, who is twelve years her senior. A source said to New York Post that their age difference became the main reason of their break-up, “The age difference meant they were in completely difference places in their lives.”
