The ‘Gossip Girl’ star and the ‘Inception’ actor reportedly grew apart after he said he needed some space, but a friend close to the actress claims that ‘they are great.’Blake Lively’s rumored relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio is allegedly on the brink of split. Star magazine reported that the “Inception” actor has been keeping distance from Blake. However, a source close to the “Gossip Girl” star said otherwise.
Slamming the break-up speculation, the source told Gossip Cop that “there are no issues.” The source also added that “they are great.” Nonetheless, there are still no official words from both Blake and Leo’s camp to clarify the rumor.
It has been reported that Blake was left alone at home when Leo took his mother, Irmelin, to his close friend, producer Ryan Kavanaugh’s wedding earlier this month. An insider told Star that Leo didn’t even ask Blake if she wanted to go. She then e-mailed him “to ask him why, and that’s when he said he needed some space.”
Things were reportedly getting worse when Leo was spotted in a cabaret club at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel in Los Angeles, where he was mobbed by girls and getting cozy with a sexy brunette. When he and Blake were later seen together at a pub in Santa Monica, both of them didn’t seem to enjoy the outing. “He threw back a number of beers, to the point that Blake told him to slow down,” said a source.
Additionally, the 23-year-old actress accused the actor of still keeping in touch with his ex-girlfriend Bar Refaeli. An insider said that the actress “knows for a fact that Leo has been talking to Bar about meeting up.”
Adding the spinning issue is Now magazine which claimed that Leo’s mother doesn’t seem to like Blake. “Blake’s a total mess. She tried hard to impress Leo’s mum when they met but Irmelin couldn’t stand her,” a close friend revealed. “She told Leo that Blake was far too up herself for him.”
“Blake was nervous so she did talk a lot. But his mum says all she did was talk about ‘Gossip Girl’ and how she’s a Chanel model,” the source added. “Leo listens to his mum and the fact that she didn’t like her has put him off.”
