Robin Baum of Slate PR has reportedly resigned after working with the 'Twilight Saga' star for only three months, and his father is blamed for the publicist's early departure.Daddy issue may have cost "Twilight Saga" star Taylor Lautner his high-profile publicist. According to The Hollywood Life, the Jacob Black in the vampire drama series has been dropped by Robin Baum of Slate PR. The two worked together for only three months, and the teen's father is allegedly to blame.
In its report, THR suggested that the early departure of Robin, who also represents Johnny Depp and Daniel Craig, happened because Taylor's father Daniel Lautner isn't the easiest guy to work with. Words are, the older Lautner was too demanding. Neither Robin nor Taylor's management has stepped out to comment on the speculations.
Taylor isn't the first high-profile actor Robin walked out from. Back in 2006, the publicist reportedly parted ways with Russell Crowe. Nonetheless, the "Valentine's Day" actor will have to look for Robin's replacement fast considering that his upcoming movie "Abduction" is due to come out in theaters in September.
Taylor also has "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I" in line. The first part of the final "Twilight Saga" series, which will see him reprising his role as Jacob, is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on November 18.
