The 'Sonny with a Chance' star, whose mother was admitted to rehab at an undisclosed location, has reportedly called it quits with the 'That '70s Show' star because of their age difference.Demi Lovato is seemingly facing one of her hardest times since leaving rehab in late January this year. The former "Sonny with a Chance" star has reportedly split from boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, and to make matter worse, her mother Dianna Hart de la Garza has checked herself into rehab.

A source revealed the sad news to the New York Post, explaining that the age difference between Demi and Wilmer became the main reason of their recent break-up. "The age difference meant they were in completely different places in their lives," so claimed the source. The couple was last spotted together in February during a movie date where they were also shopping for food.

The source also dished on that the 18-year-old songstress' mother has also sought treatment at an undisclosed location. "It has been a tough year for Demi, and her mom has been a constant source of support. But fame has also taken its toll on her family. Now [that] Demi is strong again, her mom could take some time to deal with her own issues," the source explained.

Demi's representative has declined to make any statement regarding the reports. He rep simply said, "We do not comment on her personal life."

Last May, Demi shared to her fans that her mom has surprised her by getting a matching "Stay Strong" tattoo on her wrist. "My mom surprised me with it when I was in treatment. And she wanted to show me how proud she was of me for getting help and changing my life... I love her so much," she tweeted at that time.
