In a recent interview with In Style magazine, the curly blond country singer admits she has no "rules for love" because she will never know when she's going to fall in love. Revealing her love philosophy on the June issue, the 21-year-old adds, "I just try to let love surprise me because you never know who you're going to fall in love with."

The "You Belong With Me" hitmaker, who was once rumored to be dating Taylor Lautner, also confesses she isn't picky about the men. "You never know who's going to come into your life," she explains, "and for me, when I picture the person I want to end up with, I don't think about what their career is, or what they look like. I picture the feeling I get when I'm with them."

Appearing on the cover of the fashion magazine's latest edition, the Pennsylvania-born chanteuse looks gorgeous in a marigold dress designed by Victoria Adams. While sharing about her love life inside the mag, she also admits her biggest fears. "I'm most scared by the thought of prolonged, perpetual unhappiness, and of unfulfillment," she says.

The close friend of Disney star Selena Gomez continues, "I have this really high priority on happiness and finding something to be happy about. It's not that I live in a delusional fantasy where I'm just smiling every day. I definitely feel pain, but there is also this need to be grateful for what I've been given."
