Pia Toscano Performs at Memorial Day Concert in Capitol Building

Along with her 'American Idol' fellow Kris Allen, the New York-born singer took part as a musical guest at a concert that was held in Washington on Saturday, May 28.Pia Toscano performed at the PBS Memorial Day Concert at the West lawn of the Capitol Building on Saturday night, May 28. The former contestant of "American Idol" showed up as a guest star along with her "Idol" alum fellow, Kris Allen.
Starting the evening by delivering America's national anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner", the 22-year-old singer honored the members of the U.S. military and their families on their special day. She was standing above the crowd, looking gorgeous in her red frock.
Later, Kris took the stage and performed a hymn of "God Bless the U.S.A." The Arkansas-native singer also took time to interact with the men and women in the service who sat in the front row during his performance.
