The 'E.T.' hitmaker also posts a series of tweets to show support for her husband who is being deported from Japan.Katy Perry jokingly said she plans to become a Japanese. The "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker tweeted the joke soon after her husband Russell Brand was deported from the Land of the Rising Sun when he visited the country to watch his beloved wife's performance.

"I think I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning japanese... I really think so. I love u Japan, I really do," the 26-year-old songstress tweeted on Sunday. She previously wrote a series of tweets, showing her support to free Russell from the detention.

Explaining her husband's deportation, the "E.T." singer first tweeted, "So...my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so. sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place #tokyodreamscrushed." She followed the tweet an hour later, writing, "It was for priors from over 10 years ago!"

There was no clear explanation made by Immigration Bureau of Japan in Tokyo to confirm the reason behind the British funnyman's deportation. Even though she's sad when learning about the news, Katy assured fans that the unpleasant incident would not interrupt her Japan concert.

Sharing the good news to her fans, she wrote, "..But of COURSE I (love) my Japanese fans & the show #MUSTGOON no matter the daily aftershocks or husband kidnappings! #it'snotrightbutit'sokay." Minutes later, she continued with another tweet to gain support from her devotees to set her husband free. She tweeted, "#FREE@RUSTYROCKETS! RT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Meanwhile, Katy's hubby himself has shared a series of joking tweets and pictures about his deportation case. The "Arthur" comedian didn't seem to be stressed out over the issue as he casually posted a photo of himself with a note that said, "Planning escape from Japanese custody. It's bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick."

Not only that, the 35-year-old actor even made fun of his case with another tweet. He wrote, "Stockholm syndrome kicking in. Just asked my guard out for (vegetarian) sushi. He giggled." And he followed it with a posting of his pictures and a caption on it, "Alcatraz! Shawshank Redemption! And now this! Ah, sweet blue bird of freedom!"
