After dissing the newly-voted 'American Idol' contestant a few weeks ago, the 'Whataya Want From Me' hitmaker gets fired back by the rock singer in a recent interview.Words on the street said that there is a signal of feud between two "American Idol" alums. It was reported that Adam Lambert was dissed by the former contestant of the talent show who has just been voted off last week, James Durbin.

After dishing on his waning interest towards James two weeks before the Santa Cruz born contestant got eliminated from the singing competition, Adam has recently been fired back by the rocker. In a latest interview, the 22-year-old singer had thrown a big "Whatever!" to the "Whataya Want From Me" hitmaker.

Speaking to MTV, James shrugged Adam off as he said, "I was nothing (but) nice to that guy." He then showed his disappointment toward the boyfriend of Sauli Koskinen, claiming, "And, you know, he decided to take it to a different level. Whatever!"

James thought that Adam didn't have the rights to criticize him because there is nothing to compare between them since they have different taste in music. He explained, "I don't know what the comparison's all about. He sings pop and electronic, and I sing rock and metal."

While chatting about Adam Lambert, James also talked about his elimination. He admitted that it was something unavoidable, sharing, "Well, it seemed like a blessing can turn into a curse and a curse can turn into a blessing." He added, "You know, I felt like I had a perfect night the night before. It felt too good."

As reported beforehand, Adam declared to The Hollywood Reporters that he was not really fond of James. "I think he's got talent and passion 100 percent but I feel like he's trying way too hard. Also, his niche is so limited with the metal," the 29-year-old popstar insisted.

He continued, "When he did that 'Heavy Metal' song (by Sammy Hagar), James was note-perfect. He was on pitch, which is usually kind of an issue, and I think he sounded really good, but it felt like a copycat. I didn't feel like I was seeing an original artist yet. And I'm not saying he doesn't have that in him, but it hasn't been showing."
