Given the star-studded cast that includes Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Jim Parsons, it’s no wonder “Home” had a strong weekend showing.
The DreamWorks animated flick brought in $54 million, topping the Will Ferrell/Kevin Hart comedy “Get Hard,” which opened to $34.6 million in sales. Rounding out the top five spots were “Insurgent,” “Cinderella” and “It Follows.”
“Home” is about “Oh, an alien on the run from his own people, who lands on Earth and makes friends with the adventurous Tip, who is on a quest of her own.”
