It may well be the case that Diplo meant no offense with his Taylor Swift comments and just wanted to wind up her fanbase; but even then, he has some strong accusations of body shaming to answer to. And depressingly, he's not alone.
Fellow DJ Bogore, real name Asaf Borger, posted a quip about perceived flaws in Swift's body (as if any flaws actually exist) over the weekend, but while the lady herself kept her usual dignified silence, chart-topper Anton Zaslavski - known to most of us as Zedd - piped up to make it clear that such remarks aren't really acceptable.
Late last night (November 16), Borgore tweeted: “Imagine if Taylor swift [sic] and Kim Kardashian had a kid. No ass and bad nipples.” Depressingly, hundreds of retweets and favourites quickly followed. But Zedd took less than quarter of an hour to bite back, responding: “so u're jumping on diplo's bandwagon of talking smack on other people too? Come on man, you're better than that”. YES ZEDD! YES!

The Russian-German hitmaker is already well into our good books after being responsible for churning out the epic ‘;Clarity' with Foxes, ‘;Stay The Night' with Paramore's Hayley Williams and, more recently, ‘;Break Free' with Ariana Grande. But now our admiration for him has increased by approximately 495%.
But that wasn't the end of it. While Bogore has not, at time of writing, responded to the 25-year-old, another producer has. Tagging Diplo himself, Neelo tweeted: “when did we reach a point (especially in the music industry) where we can't joke around anymore. freedom of speech >”.
An interesting point, but Zedd had the perfect response to that one as well. “jokes are great,” he posted. “But there's a difference between an joke and actually meaning something and hurting people's feelings for no reason.” That's it. We're in love. Game over.

“I agree with that,” Neelo conceded, “there's definitely a line that can be crossed. I suppose it has been, also think people can be a tad over sensitive sometimes. I didnt think diplo was trying 2 hurt anyone at all. rather i felt he was just trying 2 be funny. not n the best way n 2014”.
Diplo had, in case you missed it, riled up Taylor's fans (Swifites) and best friend Lorde with a tasteless remark about her backside; a remark which may or may not have been fuelled by the fact that he is allegedly dating Katy Perry... who, lest we forget, is widely thought to be in something of a messy feud with the 'Blank Space' singer. Oh, why can't everyone just get along? Where's that rainbows girl from Mean Girls when you need her?

Taylor hasn't responded to any of this. Probably because A) 'Shake It Off' basically sums it all up anyway, and B) she's too busy topping charts and breaking records all over the world to even have time for it. But if she could make room in her diary for a collaboration with Zedd, we'd back that. We'd back that x1000.
