He already has an Oscar and Golden Globe, but on Monday, Matthew McConaughey added a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to his list of accolades. Matthew was honored with the 2,534th star, which sits in front of Madame Tussauds on famous Hollywood Blvd. He was joined by his wife, children, friends and co-stars to celebrate the memorable day.
“Matthew McConaughey is one of Hollywood's most popular leading men and the community of Hollywood is proud to place his star on our famed historic Hollywood Walk of Fame,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies.
The Interstellar star was accompanied by his wife Camila Alves and his three children: six-year-old Levi, four-year-old Vida and 22-month-old Livingston. The family beamed with pride as Matthew accepted the plaque signifying the prestigious honor.

Guest speakers at the ceremony included Matthew's friend Don Phillips and Interstellar director Christopher Nolan.
“He works harder than anybody I know,” Christopher said of Matthew, “and he deserves everything that's happened to him more than anybody I know.”
Although they didn't speak at the event, Matthew's Interstellar co-stars Mackenzie Foy, Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway were present to show their support to Matthew.

In his acceptance speech, Matthew talked about how much his acting career means to him.
“This is a great moment in my career and my life,” he said. “I have a career where I look forward to Monday morning to go into work. That I'm proud to be able to say.”
