Do You Believe These Theories About Game Of Thrones’ Season 5?

Fans got even more ecstatic about Game of Thrones' season five this week when a brief teaser of the 2015 installment was released, sparking a bunch of brand new theories about what could be in store for the players of Westeros. But how realistic are the predictions for season five?

The 10-second teaser, which premiered on Wednesday along with a Three-Eyed Raven promotional website, featured young Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams, laying down while having a vision of incidents from her travels so far including the moment when she killed a man using her beloved sword Needle and holding the coin given to her by Jaqen Hagar.

The very brief season 5 teaser:

The only voice heard over the short clip is that of Melisandre, musing: “I see a darkness in you,” which was featured in a scene from season three, leaving the door wide open for speculation as to what lies ahead for Arya and if she'll have any connection to The Red Woman.

Of course there are plenty of theories as to how the entire Game of Thrones series will end, but what are just some of the predictions specifically for season five?

Margaery Will Be Cersei's Downfall:

We all know the famous Walk of Shame is coming for Cersei so it's clear that she's set to lose her composure and dignity but will her power go along with it? In season four, we saw Margaery butter-up young Tommen Baratheon, Cersei's son, in a bid to become queen following the death of King Joffrey. There are hints that Margaery will get a ring on her finger again but what does this mean for Cersei? It's no secret she despises Margaery but with the Tyrell beauty now having control over her youngest - and only living - son, this could be the final nail in the coffin for Cersei's reign and influence over King's Landing.

Arya Stark and Tyrion Lannister Join Forces:

Pictures emerged from the set of season five this summer showing Maisie Williams filming scenes as Arya and Peter Dinklage, who plays Tyrion, in the same location - Braavos. It's looking likely that Arya and Tyrion will join forces in the coming episodes although there's one small problem, Tyrion's family are responsible for her family's major downfall so they won't be thrilled to see each other - if in fact they do. They do have a shared hate though - the Lannisters, so perhaps this will be the bonding factor. After all, now that they're both in unfamiliar territory, it's probably wiser for them to stick together right?

The Greyjoys Reclaim Winterfell From The Boltons:

Poor Theon. He's really been through it since being held hostage by Ramsay Snow - sorry that's Bolton now - like, the guy lost his penis. His PENIS. But could he get his mojo back sooner than we think? He's pretty much a lost cause at the moment, currently a slave to Ramsay and going by the name “Reek.” Although he rejected the help of his family in season four, will they try again? Now that the Boltons are running Winterfell, the Greyjoys will probably want to take back what was temporarily theirs when Theon was in charge and the poor lad will probably come with the package.

Jaime And Brienne Will Reunite:

It's been reported that Jaime will leave King's Landing on a mission to rescue his daughter niece Myrcella from Dorne where she was shipped in season two, but something tells us he'll come across his old pal Brienne on his travels later down the season. At least, we're hoping this is the case as we suspect Jaime has deeper feelings for her than he realises and it would just be cruel to keep them away from each other for too long.

Daenerys' Reign Will Start To Crumble:

She's already lost her confidante after Ser Jorah revealed himself to be a spy from King's Landing and her dragons are straying further from her grasp so something's got to give. It's a tricky one because we do see Dany going far with her mission to reach Westeros, but, she'll probably pay the price at some point, while her ego continues to inflate as the power comes. Plus, it's kind of already started - in season four, one of her civilians in Meereen challenged her about her army killing an innocent child when she first took over the city.

The Most Ridiculous Theory:

Comes from YouTube user Rome Werty, who commented under the teaser: "Tyrion is going to lose one nipple, Aria will dance with a panda for money, Jon Snow becomes a man-whore in Valyria, Sam get's a wooden c**k and balls and wears them with honour, Joffrey comes back and kills Tommen with a shoe... Hodor becomes a rock star, Khalessi marry Hot Pie." Yes, we can totally see all of that happening.

Of course, we don't know anything for sure with producers keeping everything under lock and key. The teaser didn't even give anything away, making season five perhaps the most secretive season to date. And as history has taught us, anything is possible in the game of thrones. Spring 2015 will be eventful!
