Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Offered Pay Rise To Remain On The X Factor

The X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has been offered a shiny new contract worth at least £2 million to remain on the show, it has been claimed.

The former Girls Aloud star - who returned to the show this year alongside Mel B, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh - is believed to have been paid £1.4 million for the current series of the show, but she is being offered a pay rise to secure her services for the 2015 edition of the talent search.

"Normall negotations don't start until after a series has finished, but it's clear the two girls have been popular and are both keen to stay on next year," a source said told the Mirror Online. "Obviously they have successful singing careers of their own too though which are going from strength to strength at the moment, so they are in line for a pay boost to keep them both on board."

The insider added, "Their chemistry has been great from the very beginning and they've both made it clear that they'd like to keep that pairing going - which suits producers too. There are going to be more serious discussions over the coming weeks and hopefully a deal will be finalised early next year - but it's only a case of ironing out the details."

But while the Crazy Stupid Love hitmaker is getting on like a house on fire with former Spice Girl Mel, the singer doesn't seem to have quite the same fondness for former Girls Aloud bandmate Nadine Coyle, who she recently branded a liar after the Irish singer said that she did not want the group to split. "She's full of s**t. What d'you want [me] to say? She was the one who wanted to make a solo record, which is why we took the hiatus." Ouch!
