If you want to date Britney Spears you can forget all of the modern technology used when seeking out potential partners these days. There's no liking her Facebook profile picture or swiping right on Tinder - the only way to get a date with Britney is by asking her dad for his permission.
That and undergoing a few legal checks. Britney's latest beau Charlie Ebersol has reportedly done just that to get his chance at wooing the singer, with her dad Jamie Spears stepping in to check out his suitability for his daughter before the pair went on their first date.
A new report claims that Charlie, 31, may come from a respectable family but that made him no exception to the stringent rules Jamie has for any would-be suitors. According to a report by RadarOnline Charlie didn't just agree to follow in the footsteps of Britney's previous boyfriends Jason Trawick and David Lucado, he also underwent a background check as well as signing a non-disclosure agreement. And it would appear he passed with flying colours.
A source told RadarOnline: “There wouldn't be any exception made about Jamie's requirement that anyone dating Britney must undergo a background check and sign the confidentiality agreement. Obviously, Charlie made the cut.”

Apparently Charlie was totally understanding about the requirements Britney's dad - who is her co-conservator - has in place to protect her from stories leaking to the press. The source claims that as a goodwill gesture Jamie offered to pay any legal fees incurred for checking out the agreement. They added: “Jamie offered to pay Ebersol's legal fees if he needed someone to look it over.”
Britney, 32, appears to be very happy with her new found love, she posted one selfie with Charlie over the weekend, confirming their romance with the picture and a love heart caption. She then added a second image of the pair out for a walk and captioned it "this guy..." with a smiley sunglasses wearing face.
