She's taking over the country music scene, and Kacey Musgraves added one more accomplishment to her list scoring a feature in ELLE's Women in Music issue.

While rocking Roberto Cavalli for the Kai Z Feng-shot spread, the "Merry Go 'Round" singer chatted about her boldly honest tunes.

“It’s hard for me to swallow when someone says, ‘you’re a rebel, you’re an outlaw,’ because no, I’m not," Kacey explained.

"The things I sing about are not controversial to me. The fact that they’re even considered controversial in this day and age is really sad.”
