The Hidden Meaning Behind a Chipped Tooth: a Sequel to Jim Carrey’s “Dumb and Dumber”

How better to announce a new movie than by posting a photo of a chipped tooth? For fans of “Dumb and Dumber,” the tooth on Jim Carrey's WhoSay page said it all: the long-awaited sequel to the hit flick is finally on its way.

Carrey’s character had a memorable mangled tooth and its re-emergence online meant filming is underway. The actor captioned the photo, "GESS HUUZ BAK BICHEZ?"

Plans for the follow-up to the 1994 original fell through in 2012 when the star dropped out. But then he changed his mind. "I'm ready," Carrey said recently. "There is a script. It's fun.”

The sequel is budgeted in the mid-$30 million range and will reunite Carrey with Jeff Daniels in their respective roles of Lloyd and Harry, 19 years later.
