On Friday (August 16), Kimmy K Instagrammed a pic of Katie C’s gift and card with the hashtag #IHateFakeMediaFriends. Kanye West’s main squeeze was outraged that Ms. Couric recently told an interviewer that she didn't understand why the Kardashians are famous.

Now, the former CBS Evening News anchor (a.k.a. “serious journalist") is spending her time backtracking, saying, "I've met Kim before and I think she's a really sweet person. I was responding to a reporter's question, and explaining how I'm intrigued by the public's fascination with her family. I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings."
