Tina Fey to Taylor Swift: Ligthen Up, It Was Just A Joke!

Earlier this week, the ever-annoying Taylor Swift told Vanity Fair that she wasn’t amused by the joke Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made about her love life at the 2013 Golden Globes.

If you recall, the (truly harmless) joke was made by Fey, who told the singer to “stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son,” who was also at the ceremony.

Apparently Swift, who has yet to figure out that Fey makes a living as a COMEDY writer, took offense.

Swift said, “You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people, because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.’”

While Poehler has since apologized for the comment, Fey (thankfully) is standing up for herself.

“If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron,” Fey told Entertainment Tonight. “I did not see that one coming. It was a joke and it was a lighthearted joke. And it’s a shame that she didn’t take it in the crazy-aunt spirit in which it was intended.”

That’s right, Poehler’s joke about Cameron was much worse than the one about Swift and it went a little something like this: “Kathryn Bigelow is here… I haven’t been following the controversy surrounding ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ but when it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron.”

Bam! Now that’s a truly offensive joke that would understandably piss someone off.

So in the sense of humor department, it’s Cameron: 1 Swift: -10
