A longtime fan of athletics who was once married to an NBA player, Eva Longoria continued to support sports by attending the 2013 Laureus World Sports Awards at the Theatro Municipal Do Rio de Janeiro on Monday (March 11).

The "Desperate Housewives" star glammed up the red carpet in a gorgeous sleeveless red gown with her dark hair worn down in soft curls.

Held annually, the Awards celebrate the most remarkable men and women from the world of sport along with their achievements from the previous calendar year.

In addition to her work schedule, Eva took time out to do a little sightseeing, posting a photo of the famous statue on her Twitter page with the comment, "Visited the Cristo Rendentor in Rio today! So beautiful, a sight to remember!"
