Doing its best to avoid any hefty FCC fines, CBS issued a warning to Grammy guests to keep everything under wraps.

Specifically, CBS Standards and Practices emailed celebrities who are expected to appear on camera and advised, "Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered."

Continuing to explain for those who might get creative with their wardrobes, the warning read, "Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure."

Addressing any commercialization issues, the email noted, "Please avoid commercial identification of actual brand name products on T-shirts." Covering any F-bombs that might be spelled out, the network adds, "Foreign language on wardrobe will need to be cleared. OBSCENITY OR PARTIALLY SEEN OBSCENITY ON WARDROBE IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR BROADCAST. This as well, pertains to audience members that appear on camera."

Finally, in a strange request, CBS requests that guests not wear a lapel pin or other accessory which contains the name of an organized cause "visibly spelled out."

With the many outspoken artists scheduled to appear, you can bet that one or more may not exactly heed this warning. Tune into the Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 10) to see who is a rule follower and who is a rebel!
