Fueling the casting rumors about herself, Krysten RItter says she "would be down" for playing Anastasia Steele in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie (January 2).

On Tuesday night, the "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" star retweeted an article about her possible role and later responded to a fan's comment that she should be the choice, replying, "Thanks! i would be down. ;)"

The E.L. James' bestselling novel tells the story of a BDSM relationship between rich older man Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele.

Casting options have been floating around since Universal Pictures and Focus Features bought the rights in March, with Mila Kunis, Emma Watson, and Ashley Greene mentioned for the female lead, while Ryan Gosling, Alexander Skarsgard, and Ian Somerhalder for the male lead.
