As a result, she was forced to cancel her performance at the Malmo Arena on Monday night, October 31. A representative for Live Nation confirmed the cancellation, saying that the singer was “not in condition to conduct the concert.”

Later on, the 23-year-old songstress released an official statement, explaining, “I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo, Sweden. I was so excited to perform for you all.” She added, “It would have been a great time…so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I’m really disappointed I couldn’t be there.”

The “We Found Love” singer also took to her Twitter to apologize to her Swedish fans for suddenly canceling her concert. “Sorry Malmo!!! #LOUDtour,” she tweeted along with a picture of her arm getting hooked up to an IV drip in a hospital.

Despite the bad news, fans might still have a chance to see Rihanna’s performance in Sweden. According to RiRi’s official site, Live Nation is currently trying to reschedule a date for the show. The tour promoter confirmed that all tickets purchased will be honored for the planned future date. Details of the rescheduled performance will be announced in the next few days.
