Madonna is out promoting her latest directorial effort, “W.E.,” but it’s news of a new album that’s making big waves. The pop queen confirmed that she’s commenced work on the new project for release in the spring of 2012.

At 53 years young, Madonna has begun work on her 12th studio album. She also announced that she expects the first single from the set to drop in February or March of next year.
