After being arrested on a felony domestic violence charge, Nicolas Cage’s son, Weston Cage, has checked into rehab.

In a statement released on Friday by Cage’s mother, Christina Fulton, the 20-year-old decided to enter a treatment facility for 30 days, reports E! News.

Cage was arrested on domestic violence charges for the second time in a month following an altercation with his wife Nikki Williams.

“Many fine opportunities await such a talented young man, including negotiations with a major production company using his exceptional martial arts and acting skills,” Fulton said.

“Weston is getting the help and support that he needs during this time. We are all hoping that he will be able to do it respectfully, in peace.”

Despite the police reports, Cage denied any trouble in his marriage by saying he is “supportive” of his wife’s musical career.

“I would like to congratulate my multi-talented wife on her recent recording contract. I have always been supportive of her music,” he said to E! News. “In no way would I ever be jealous of her successes, as I do not follow her preferred musical genre, and am personally working on a new solo album that I should have recorded a long time ago.

“I am getting myself together, so I’m sorry about being misunderstood by people who don’t know me, or know that I come from a long line of creative and successful artists.”

Williams, 22, who is reportedly pregnant with their first child, has stated that she will not press charges against Cage.
