Commenting on the actress’ funky amber Bottega Veneta gown during an episode of E!’s “Fashion Police”, the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne slammed her for “wearing a curtain.”
“You are the most stunning young thing in Hollywood,” the reality star, who also serves as the ambassadress for Madonna’s fashion line “Material Girl”, sang praise for Emma at first. “I would die to be you and have your body, so why the f*** are you wearing a curtain to the final premiere of your movie, the final premiere? The final ‘Harry Potter’ movie and this is what you’re going to wear?!”
Emma has previously said that she wanted to “go edgier” with her choice of dress for the New York premiere. To E! News, she said, “I just felt like New York is such a fashion capital and that I could push the envelope a little bit and kind of go for it. I kind of went safe, classic with London, and with New York I wanted to go edgier. I’ve never seen a dress like this…it felt so dramatic.”
While Kelly blasted her for her red carpet dress, Emma herself wants to show off her skill in fashion designing. She has reportedly been taking a fabric-cutting, design and sewing class. A source told Daily Mail, “Emma wants to challenge herself creatively. She’s obsessed with art at the moment.”
“She’s already designed a line of T-shirts and wants to expand her skills to create bespoke evening wear,” the source added. “She looks up to designers such as Georgina Chapman and Sarah Burton. She has also been studying the work of Joan Miro to inspire her.”
