An official invitation to vacation at Balmoral in Scotland has been extended to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Telegraph reports. The trek to the Scottish hills is an annual tradition for the royal family, who typically spend a few weeks each summer at the castle.

Although no strangers to the estate— they like any college students would have, visited the estate cottage during breaks while at St. Andrews University — it is the first time Kate will stay with the whole royal lot. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will be there, along with Prince Charles and Camilla. And apparently they are in for a good old fashioned family vacation, complete with steaks grilled by Prince Philip, picnics and home movie night.

The expedition –which has not been confirmed by the royal couple’s spokes people — would provide a cozy setting for the queen to get to know the new family member.
